Sync Settings

The Sync Settings section allows users to synchronize or migrate media files between different storage locations — including from WP Offload Media, between cloud storages, or syncing local and cloud files. This ensures consistency and helps manage storage efficiently.

Accessing Sync Settings

  1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Click on Next3 Offload in the sidebar.
  3. Select the Sync Settings submenu.

Features Explained

1. WP Offload Media to Next3 Offload Migration

  • Purpose: Migrates files previously managed by the WP Offload Media plugin to Next3 Offload.
  • Instructions:
    • You must first activate the WP Offload Media plugin.
    • Once active, you can start the migration process here.
  • Usage:
    • Click Migrate Now (button appears if migration is needed and WP Offload Media is active).
  • Use Case: Ideal for users switching from WP Offload Media to Next3 Offload without re-uploading all media.

2. Cloud-to-Cloud Copy

  • Purpose: Copies media files from one cloud provider to another cloud provider.
  • Usage:
    • Click Copy Now to begin transferring files between clouds.
    • Displays total offloaded files and the progress percentage.
  • Note: Only works when another cloud provider is already in use.
  • Benefit: Simplifies cloud migration and consolidates storage into another cloud storage.

3. Local and Cloud File Sync

  • Purpose: Compares and synchronizes media files between the local server and Cloud Storage.
  • Usage:
    • Click Sync Now to detect and merge matching files.
    • Useful when files exist in both locations and you want to ensure consistency.
  • Display: Shows how many files match and the percentage synced.
